Arrogate Metaphors

by TJ Arizona Eagle   Oct 3, 2011

Angel hair pasta
vinaigrette dreams
lemon drop skies
where unicorns scream

Daisies are dancing
roses turn to rust
dandelions swaying
as lilies adjust

Metaphors bloom
under midnight stars
leaving the mind
riddled and charred

What are they saying?
What does it all mean?
Marshmallow clouds
and green jelly beans?

Why didn't I come across this earlier?

I can only agree with all the comments above and it was a more than enjoyable read.
Your choice of words and how you managed to convey this message with unique and somehow entertaining metaphors is just stunning. I definately loved the fact that this poem flows smoothly and rhymes too! I haven't read this kind of poems in quite a while; poems with original rhymes, smooth flow, brilliant wording AND a great message.

This is absolutely brilliant, no doubt.
