I have to agree with SpiritRising on this one. I don't have to try and figure out or understand what the metaphor is and means. LOL It did bring smiles to me. Flow is good and rhyme is right on. Good work. LOL

Lol, I agree, you're a genius, haha. You are able to write about a variety of topics heck no, I say about everything that may or may not be exciting to you in a very artistic and thoughtful way.

I love vinaigrette dressing, but wait a minute, vinaigrette dreams, awww, that doesnt sound too tasteful, unsweetened, defeated dreams.

To me, those metaphors are about life's transitions and "What are they saying?
What does it all mean?" phrase is about evaluating life.

    Very creatively done, as always!

This was mind blowing, haha simply because I have had those same thoughts, read and re-read a poem and never get it. Sometimes I ask other times I feel dumb because everyone else gets it lol

Hark, and I run into an impeccable piece. I enjoy the vividity portrayed and the vague connections of words with entities, metaphors of course. You sir, are good with words. Hands down.

A lovely up beat poem, TJ. This had me remembering old musicals from my childhood days. They don't make them like that anymore, lol.

I see a whole different person in this poem, I like the happiness that radiates from your words.

    Angel hair pasta
    vinaigrette dreams
    lemon drop skies
    where unicorns scream

    ^^
    What an imagination:)

    Well done:)

I would say this is the funniest, most metaphorically riddled, amazing poem of the week that I have read. A very talented write. Your pen runs the readers imagination wild in all directions. In my eyes this is a winner.

I wasn't quite sure what to think when the first stanza starts with the words angel hair pasta. I was pleasantly surprised to find a really good poem as I moved through it. I liked how upbeat and imaginative it was. None of the same old metaphors and words that have been overused and worn out. It was funny, as well as holding more meaning than just a collection of odd metaphors. I thought the flow and rhyming were well done. I don't usually I'm glad I did. Thank you for expanding my horizons with this piece.

Why didn't I come across this earlier?

I can only agree with all the comments above and it was a more than enjoyable read.
Your choice of words and how you managed to convey this message with unique and somehow entertaining metaphors is just stunning. I definately loved the fact that this poem flows smoothly and rhymes too! I haven't read this kind of poems in quite a while; poems with original rhymes, smooth flow, brilliant wording AND a great message.

This is absolutely brilliant, no doubt.
