HE WHO WENT AWAY!

by MARIA   Oct 3, 2011

I did not see when he left,
He slipped away in the night,
He left us with questions,
But I know it is alright.

In the day
He looked at her with pity,
In the night
He knew he was leaving.

He played with me,
He stayed with us,
I laid by his side,
But he never told me.

They gave me a pity look,
I could see from their faces that they pitied me,
From that moment
I knew I was not alone.

A child was born,
For her and us,
The gift was brought,
For the family of ours.

In time they denied,
In seeing they believed,
A child was theirs,
In time they accepted.

He never looked back,
After all those years,
He never came back,
For his own girls.

Many lives passed,
He did not return,
Many years passed,
We did not forget.

Between the two,
There lies the truth,
For us the girls,
We have no idea.

Love is all we had for him,
Lies is all he had for us,
Life is all the same without him,
Lets all thank god for that.

He made us strong,
By not being there,
The road was long,
But we are almost there.

Time will tell, He will come.
Me and them will be in his arms.

The seeds that he planted,
He left them plants,
But they are now trees,
Ready to reap.

For god's sake,
He must come back,
For our sake,
He must return.

With gods love we are alive,
With good hearts we are strong!
