The Pink Sweater

by Steven   Oct 4, 2011

All was ruined before the day even started
when rain fall started desend upon our mortal life
as heavens rain screamed
i was left without an umbrella

the streets laid silent and deadly
sending chills straight down everyone bones
as if the rain was washing away
the color that made up our beautiful reality

from the black and white coloring
Deep within the imagination of a good dream
my eyes played it's greatest trick upon me
as i saw a girl skipped through the empty streets

Her big pink sweater
with her black and white stockings
she skipped through the rain fall
as if she was on an heavenly journey

as she slowly passed by
with a smile upon her face
the black and white
the battle started to turn it's tide

people rally together
dancing and cheering
embracing another day with no fear on their minds
as the pink sweater girl took the lead

by the end of everything
it felt like everything was just a dream
as we were face to face
as our lips were about to meet

i close my eyes full hearty
"oh wait" i paused
it happen so suddenly
it was all just a dream
