Mistress of the Moon

by The Queen   Oct 6, 2011

Mistress of the Moon

and there she is,
in all her beauty
with crimson lips,
kohl-rimmed eyes;
of outraging curves,
and mesmeric laugh

a white skinned goddess
of melancholia
perhaps a poet
with a slighty
heavier heart

a grotesque reflection
of naivety and nothingness
may her innocence
be a shield
like a small umbrella
in the rain

Wow partner, you totally nailed it, I mean what could be more beautiful than a poem tribute to a close friend, in description that is so profound. I love how you describe 'kohl-rimmed eyes' and how you used the word 'melancholia' totally mesmerizing. A well deserved win. Congrats partner:)
