The Cabin

by Bobby   Oct 8, 2011

The sight of the place
where I was headed
Green metal roof top
Beautiful wood embedded

Nothing around
but wildlife critters
So dark only lighted
by the star's glitters

Many jitters and many thoughts
what would happen, what would be said
A heart already empty
nothing left to be bled

The Whipper Wills singing
and calling out through song
The brain and the heart
knowing what might go wrong

In the joys of that first look
of seeing no turning around
The worries that are upon you
are sinking away and down

The fighting within your mind
believing in again yourself
The belief dusty and hidden deep
long covered up on a shelf

The first touch shutters
even though a simple hand hold
Looks to the eyes sends shivers
your sweating but feeling cold

The eyes keep looking
at the beauty they see
The mind is focused
as the world around become an absentee

Captured unknowingly
you become the abductee
Tied up with joy and laughs
fear leaves softly and slowly

As the fire begins to
smoke and burn
The smile of life
also starts to return

As each day passes
and each moment is spent
You suddenly wonder
where all the time went

The place had drilled
through all the cement
Is that you were placed there
Was that God's intent

To break and open you
once again, refill
an empty heart with life
to have faith again instill

The cabin, a very simple
and very small infrastructure
built for many to enjoy
and for some to restructure

How they feel
How they live
even when empty and dusty
discover they can still give
