Sitting on the Boulders

by believeinlove87   Oct 9, 2011

Below the cliffs,
the beautiful flowing river,
scent of pine trees fill the air,
gentle breeze pushes her hair,
in the arms of her love,
becoming one with another.

Isn't this beautiful he says,
yes this is she replies with a smile,
taking in the serene sight,
the essence of life,
getting a little chilly from the wind,
he wraps his arms around her.

Sitting together on the boulders,
throwing a rock down to the the ground,
watching the river twist & turn,
burrowing herself into his chest,
reminding him hes the one,
wishing they could remain here forever.

Below the cliffs,
promises are made,
to spend forever & a day together,
taking a flower off the nearby bush,
presents it to her with pure love,
blushing from the way he says you complete me,
she closes her eyes,
takes in a deep breath,
letting nature fill up her soul.

Together, they would have made it,
splashing in the deep blue river,
throwing mud at each other,
laughing till their stomach hurts,
just him & her,
alone in this world,
beneath the beautiful rigid rocks,
feeling the air breeze through her hair,
she can't help but go back to the day on the
boulders and question what if.
