    My favorite :

Like a flower dies so suddenly
I will soon pass away too
    But my question tonight is,
Will it even matter to you?

Excellent piece. Amazing use of emotion, even the reader can feel that emotion. There is a lot of description, which is nice, but there is not much imagery to balance it out; cause it is a bit over powering. The flow and rhyme scheme feel natural, like you didn't really push for either, most pieces aren't like that, but I'm glad this one is. Simple, short, and amazing, fantastic job.

Well done, Matt. Facing the bitter truth early gets you further along in life. Our passing does matter to some, but to most people, there would be just a momentary choke, a passing sadness, life goes on. Once we accept how easily our existence can be erased, then we can start on the path to letting go of illusions.

Good use of the flower image, which is the essence of ephemeral existence and transient beauty. Your protagonist still questions the lack of concern, but the reader gets the impression he is already jaded enough not to expect an answer.
