Graef Oercanstan

I often sit under this tree,
Writing and thinking about you.
I thought you were watching over me,
But sadly you were not…

Those leaves falling under and over me,
My soul is dying like all of them.
Once it reaches the ground,
There’s no coming back to the top…

You know my dear,
You’re just like this tree over me,
The same as you in any ways.
You’re higher than me but still very weak.

And now I wait my whole life.
I still want to see your face,
Only one last time,
Your face down to the floor…

So is that leaf in my heart
