The betrayal

by Craig   Oct 10, 2011

Alone they sit,
together alone,
under the stars,
by candle light.
the fire then lit,
illuminating her face,
a warm orange glow,
bringing out her true beauty.
why did he let this go?
because of another woman?
how dare he betray her,
torment her,
alone.
sitting on a beach,
two years on,
he sits there thinking,
of that betrayal.
sifting his hands through the sand,
he comes across something sharp,
a blade? no, a shard of glass.
bringing to his arm,
quickly he slices,
through the soft silky skin,
and its done.
she finds out about his death,
crying into her pillow at night,
shes lost her true love,
to deaths sly might,
walking to the kitchen,
arms bare for the world to see,
a knife held in one hand,
and the other starts to bleed.
she took her life out of love,
to be with him once again,
forever entwined in love,
the afterlife sets us free.
