Fading

by The Poet Behind The Poems   Oct 11, 2011

I'm staring at you, looking around
I call out your name you don't hear a sound
I look in your eyes but nothing is clear
You look straight through me like I'm not here

I wish I could put my hands on your hips
Move in close and feel the taste of your kiss
To put my hand gently on your face
Just as we finish this passionate embrace

How I would love to hold you tight
And tell you "I love you" every single night
To see the stars reflect, off your eyes
To share together the beauty of every sun rise

The time has come to say goodbye
You can't see the tears that fall from my eye
As the gates open all I can do is stare
How can I go to heaven when you're still down there?

I am speechless... I adore this poem. You don't read many that are from the point of view as the person passing... always the person missing the person that passed. I love every single line!

I always admire your rhyming skills and the simplicity in your every piece. I myself I dont think I'll be able to write such piece of beautiful feelings and emotions without being too complicated with my diction.

    Good work!
