Lips Like Morphine

by WhiteDecember   Oct 14, 2011

Lust
It's crawling up my spine,
And trickling out my eyes.
Every minute,
My heartbeat grows faster
Every minute,
My eyes get dimmer
Show me how to live;
Teach me how to lie
Because with lips like morphine
You make me want to die.

    First of all welcome to the site.

    I have to agree with the comments above that the title is really eye-catching and it's original too. Your poem flows really well and though it's short you manage to set a really interesting scenery with your words. I do not really have anything to fault and I think that this poem is well written.

    Yes, welcome to PnQ, dear newbie. :)

    Everything in this write seems interesting. But I wanted it to be a bit longer, for I was really drawn in, didn't want it to finish. :)

    Good work, I look forward to reading a new one by you, good luck.

    Welcome to the site. The title caught my eye and must say the poem is good. There is a message and you presented it well and the flow and rhymes are good.

    Your words brought to mind an image of a pair of lips with really red lipstick and the emotions one might experience. Well done.
