Too Mad To Even Spare You a Glance

by TheGirlSittingAllByHerself   Oct 14, 2011

I turn and look at you,
You're on the other side of the room,
With your friends,
Laughing and smiling,
I wish I could be there with you but I just look down,
And pretend to be busy with something.

I can feel you looking at me now,
Calling my name,
But I continue to look down,
Pretending not to hear,
Because you see I'm mad at you,
Furious, actually,
And you know it.

You come over,
Tower over me and look,
Deep into my eyes,
You put your arm around me,
But I shrink away,
Too mad to even spare you a glance.
You ask what's wrong,
But I just lie and say nothing,
Because you know what you did.

But in the end, instead of talking to me,
You just shrug and walk away,
Back to your friends,
Back to your safe haven,
While I'm left all alone,
Staring at the floor and holding back tears,
Wishing it didn't have to be this way.

Omg thanks so much :) this means a lot to me. This is like the first poem I ever wrote so I was afraid it wouldn't be that good, so thanks for the positive feedback.

I know exactly how this feels girl.

Wanting so badly to talk to him & forgive him but not being able to because he hurt you so badly. I can see this play out in my head, the pain you feel is obvious. Its a flawless poem. Pure emotion right from the heart<3
