In His Hands Now

by believeinlove87   Oct 15, 2011

In his hands now,
only time will tell,
he thinks she wants nothing to
do with him,
truth is she loves him enough
to overlook this.

Her fault it happened,
it escalated so fast,
in a blink of an eye she messed up,
didn't let him explain,
got drunk and numbed away her pain,
her favorite way to cope.

Ups & downs,
but if they can get through this,
nothing will get in the way,
like a speed bump in the road,
just another obstacle,
a challenge to both overcome,
love so strong,
this shouldn't get in the way.

Both messed up,
let alcohol cloud their judgments,
did things they can't undo,
willing to give it another chance,
prove the love is real and can last,
hopelessly waiting for his reply.

In his hands now,
anxious as all hell,
not knowing what to think,
hes special to her,
he saw something in her unlike
any other girl,
time will tell,
if he can't get past this,
they will both forever regret
these messed up mistakes.
