No Longer Caring

I've been hurt in the past,
And I've been through a lot of pain,
But, who freaking hasn't?
Though, unlike anyone else,
I'm gonna stop letting myself,
Get so worked over everything,
And I'm going to start caring less.

I'm going to turn over a new leaf,
I'm going to stand strong,
And I won't let you hurt me anymore,
Cause in the end I know,
That getting my hopes up is doing nothing but,
Setting myself up for disappointment.

And I won't let myself,
Shed anymore tears over you,
And I'll no longer let myself depend on you,
To make me happy,
Not Anymore.

And I'll stop being so sensitive,
I'll stop caring so much,
And instead I'll try to enjoy life more.
Because in the end I know that you'll just,
Break my heart without a second thought...
And why would I want that?
