Words spilling out joy
Telling love, moving spirits
Words engulfed in sorrow
Words borrowed,
Words hitting out like swords
Bitter words
We hear them
They in turn
Can make us feel
Can touch us, move us
After we've heard enough
We move on
But nothing can shake us,
Stop us, stall us
Like the silences
When words are not enough
And words are no more
