Wolf Cry

by Lofallenve   Oct 19, 2011

From afar a wolf cries--
echoing mournfully--
across fields of dying grass;
a forest gorged with life--
fireflies twinkling in code;
night a cloak of few hours--
the moon rotund in a bedecked sky;
stars slowly showing bright faces--
A song of bereavement and desolation
