The Beginning

by Donnie Schrieber   Oct 20, 2011

Watching the Years as they go by
Slipping us Farther and Farther Away
Into the Great Divide
The Distance Stretches with the Time
It Separates Our Hearts from Our Minds
Can We go back to the Start
Or Have We Grown to Far Apart

Take Me Back to the Beginning
Cause I Don't Think I Like the Ending
I Don't Even Care Who's Winning
Take Me Back to the Beginning

Lately I've been Lost in the Past
Embracing the Darkness and Made My World Black
Eating My Insides Alive with Regret
Most would Say it's Best to Forget
Easier said than Done My Friend
Cause I am Haunted by the End
Let You Slip out of My Head Is
EASIER SAID THAN DONE MY FRIEND
Can We Go back to the Start
Or Have WE GROWN TO FAR APART

Take Me Back to the Beginning
Cause I Don't Think I Like the Ending
I Don't Even Care Who's Winning
Take Me Back to the Beginning
