Unknown Leap

Unknown Leap

Like the countless stars, so timeless and bright,
As a radiant moon pierces the cloudless night,
I envision your face so clear to me,
Even lost in the depths of this relentless sea.

Yet I beseech the waves, with neither boat no oar,
As forever now shall I seek thy shore,
For ablaze has been set, my soul afire,
Heart aflame with unyielding desire,

To make fiction reality, substance from dream,
What wouldn't I give, so as in turn to redeem?
Pay back the profoundness, found in your eyes,
Return all the magic, that's spared my demise?

Spinning and falling I'm head over heels,
Ecstasy in motion is the way that it feels,
Yet madness and fury still torment my mind,
As the answer to this question I can't seem to find

You've helped me to feel, even as I profess,
Your beauty alone helps the words off my chest,
The feelings you invoke with the simplest glance,
Gives me strength that our love may still have a chance.

Enchantment, bliss, inspiration, and rapture,
Why dear God did you let this girl capture,
My every affection that I've known inside,
May fate be with me on this quixotic ride,

For true love is illustrious, an unparalleled dream,
I imagine walking in heaven is how it must seem,
So standing here upon the brink, hearing only my heart race,
I take an unknown leap, dreaming only of your face.
