Longing for your touch

A glimpse of light i always find,
when i look into your eyes.
A hint of strength pores on in,
giving me a preview of how this will begin.

You touch my soul and feel the pain,
you know the hurt and all the gain,
for i am broken down inside,
after all these tears i have cried.

You know my story, been through it all,
Catch every tear as they fall,
Held my hand, walked me through it,
but all these years i would never admit.

So these feelings i have, are every bit true,
but distance has become our issue.
If only you knew how i was feeling,
then my heart wouldn't have to be healing.

For now i'll miss you every day,
just wondering what i should say,
if only you knew how much i cared,
Maybe one day our hearts can be shared.
