At the end of my Journey

by KELLiE SHEA   Jun 24, 2004

Smiles of the future,
Smiles of the past,
Haunting us forever,
Suddenly this world turns to glass.

Markings on the walls,
Symbols not yet read,
Believing another image,
But for one I am unsaid.

Life just falls to pieces,
Crumbles in our hands,
This worlds not yet over,
I can’t see much longer in the sand.

Every breath I once skipped,
All the words I misread,
Beginning this new life,
All theses challenges I will dread.

Can’t we go back in time,
Without the memories we paused,
Captured on pictures,
Left for us in awe.

Now the Journeys dieing slowly,
Pictures fade but still,
These challenges forsaken,
I am seeking I must go.

I don’t want to stay here,
its just not safe for me,
how can I be so loved,
when I feel so un free.

Death shall come quickly,
no use waiting for the end,
no use lying slowly dieing,
when the quickness I wont dread.

Here it comes now,
To take away all my pain,
One slit just wont do,
When the faster I leave,
There wont be nothing left to dread.
