Star-Shine

by HOLLY ARMER   Oct 24, 2011

Silently she trembles
as the stars slide down her cheek
Trying to be brave
but knowing inside she's weak

Feeling empty and alone
she doesn't know her self
Longing to reach for others
for just a little help

Doesn't see her beauty
Star-shine all around
Tormented and lonely
only hatred found

But someday she will
feel it and all will be done
Shimmering in her beauty
much brighter than the sun

This poem was very sad yet it had a sweet ending to it.

    "But someday she will
feel it and all will be done
    Shimmering in her beauty
    much brighter than the sun"

^ I absolutely adore your ending.

You have that ability to rhyme, which I definitely don't have - but I do know this poem flows perfectly. Really I think you've penned something easy to relate to here, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to add some punctuation. Otherwise, good job!
