Fall From Grace

by Jeremy S Farley   Oct 25, 2011

Love is gone. Is it fate?
Entangled in the dying thorns
Bleeding heart in pinned embrace
Lies beating, ripped and torn

Falling with these darkened leaves
Of summers once remembered
The age of innocence now filled
With visions of December

Once bright hopes fade away
They wither with forgotten trees
Her sadist smile a pale reminder
Of leaves that once were green

Spring can never heal the pain
Of dreams that are now broken
The memories will someday fade
Like vows that once were spoken
