Look At Me

by Misfit Silentts   Oct 26, 2011

Look at me and my pretty knife.
Look at how it makes a slice.

A thin red line, oh so deep,
While the blood gently seeps.

My gentle tears keep falling down.
I'm suffocating inside this town.

I know exactly what I need to do.
But I can't pull my heart away from you.

I didn't want to think you were actually gone.
I didn't want to believe that you had moved on.

But you kissed her lips in front of my eyes.
I used a pillow to muffle my cries.

I try my best to hid my emotions from you,
but I haven't been okay since that day at 2.

You said your final words of goodbye.
I felt at that moment that I had died.

I really liked this poem. My favorite part 'I know exactly what I need to do. But I can't pull my heart away from you.' I could really relate to this. You could see how the love brings such pain. It was a very good read and had an excellent flow. Don't ever stop writing. 5/5
