Fading Dream

by Innocent Fairy   Oct 26, 2011

I needed this time
to reflect,
get back to me
and enjoy what I have left

I needed the passing days
to get through the fusing pains,
too much was coming my way
and time flew by quickly

My smiles were fading,
My light was dimming too low
into the darkness I fell,
and a well of depression lied near

My thinking
became unclear
and confused I became,
confusion was pain
and I dreaded everything

I needed time
clear the fog surrounding
brighten the light that was fading
for I felt I was fading too

I was lost and now
it's time I focus on me,
through the faded dream
and find the hidden meaning

Smile through the rain
keep my head held high
and find the things I enjoy in life

Time to hold
my best friends close
for they see what I cannot see
they are the rainbows
to my blue days
and helping me
through the tough times

I needed this time
to reflect,
get back to me
and enjoy what I have left

I needed the passing days
to get through the fusing pains,
too much was coming my way
and time flew by quickly

I needed these days
for I dreaded everything
and I was fading all too quickly.

Dreams are often replaced with better ones that grow and last a life time.
Your poem said so much, with great flow and rhyme. Have faith life is a blessing, and a joy embrace what you have, forget what you don't.

Dreams do fade, but again some are supposed to, so we may make place for new one's. Sad, but I see a ray of light emerging from the loss.

Very nice write. Sometimes we need to sit back and meditate on things to help us. And this poem described that really well. Nice write. :)
