You Can Only Hide For So Long

by Elizabeth   Oct 26, 2011

Hide yourself where ever you please
Underground or under seas but you will fail
I can still hear the quiver in your words

Flying with a broken wing just like a hurt bird
Underneath that veil all your pain speaks
You cant hide your pain

I see a ship with wrecked sail
I see the pretense beneath the shame
Your eyes overflowing with words even though you try to hide

I was with you when you sold your soul to the devil
You portray to the world a mask of hapyness
But deep down, all I see is a torn shell of the past

A torn, broken and bruised soul
Do you wonder where i am, who i am, how i know
You need not look elsewhere to find me cause
Take a look in your mirror....

An interesting piece. I loved how you created such vivid imagery.
