You know what?
Love is difficult to express at the best of times.
And sometimes I make an ass of myself trying,
Because I am always angry or frustrated at the things you do.
But this all stems,
From my infinite fears,
That one day you'll grow tired of me...
That you will see my true colours and toss me aside,
Like I have done to so many others.
That one day you will no longer want to spend those silent,
Limb entwined nights with me,
That consists of us lying together,
And revelling in each other's existence,
Gently kissing in the gloom.
Now you have asked me so many times,
Why I just stare at you and smile.
Well let me try to explain this paradox to you.
For it is as clear as day to me.
As you stare at the sky and the world around you,
Admiring every beauty and extraordinary facet of it...
So too do I gaze upon you,
Watching as the light catches your eyes...
To make them spark as the emeralds they are.
As the shadows dance across your face,
As the wind sweeps back your hair,
Treasuring every stolen glance that I get.
For as I look at your face,
How can I not but call it perfection,
And desire to stare for an eternity,
For anything less would be unjust.
