Fool's Gold

by Jenna Bella Oldridge   Oct 27, 2011

Made a bad decision,
Wish I could take it back,
Beating myself up,
Why does love have to be like that?

Said you wouldn't hurt me,
Told me that you cared too much,
But you make me sick,
I cannot stand your touch

Fool's gold baby
That is all you turned out to be
I thought it was her
But the joke is me

I don't wonna here you
You've already gone too far
Now I know better
I seen her in your car

Well she can keep you
I'm done with your heart
It's a lucky escape
It's for the best that we part

^My favourite stanza, I love title being portrayed here,
throughout the poem the flow was flawless and the rhymes were great too, not forced at all.

such a sad poem that I am sure many can relate to,
    love
