Silent Nights

Silent nights,
counting the stars in the sky,
holding his picture in her grasp,
wiping away the falling tears,
longing to be in his arms.

Reminiscing about
the late night talks,
playing jokes on each other,
not afraid to be themselves,
just waiting the day they
can be together forever.

One falling out incident,
everything fell apart,
refusing to lose hope in him,
knowing sooner or later he'll
open his eyes & realize,
that she isn't going anywhere.

Silent nights,
counting the stars in the sky,
talking to god praying for him
to be safe and come back already,
nothing will push her away,
her love grows deeper each day.

Keeping hope alive in her heart,
not worried about it not working out,
only a matter of time till there together,
reminding herself looking at the stars,
he makes her glow brighter then one,
saying aloud wishing he could hear her,
