Bite Your Lip

by Jess   Oct 28, 2011

"Bite your lip",
Momma always told me.

I grew up to believe,
that crying is for the weak.

"Just keep going, don't give up,"
Papa taught me.

I wont give up,
I will never give in to weakness.

Being strong,
Is more than just holding on.

Happiness is truth,
fake smiles are for the insecure.

I grew up brave,
I always had something to say.

Not one day,
Have I lost my way.
