Wont be broken

by Brookexox   Oct 30, 2011

The light of the candle radiates heat;
Trendrils of warmth licking my cheek.
As i lean in to the vibrant flame,
I pray that i wont feel the pain,
for which you are to blame.
Pain is not gentle nor sweet,
as i thought you to be.
Once before our profaned clashes,
You mentioned that i truley mattered.
But as my heart shatters with the thought of you,
I realize none of it was true.
I still cant believe that i couldnt see,
That you were bent on breaking me.
But here i plead and pray each day,
That you did not have your way.

    This is a fantastic , meaningful rhyme poetry. Sometimes you get to know a person through his/her anger, then you find out that those touching words that were said to you were just wasted words that holds no meanings. Well done, Kell.
