Midnight Sky

We are stars
in the moonlit sky
just glittering the night
and a deep blue blends the tide

Silver is the luminous moon
but bright we are
just lighting the night
just like fireworks
burning so bright
and colors of delight

We did not spark the night
but danced around a fire
and now daylight has no chance

In sunshines graceful sweeps
we paint a rainbow
that never sleeps
for we seem to meet
in the middle and keep
our hearts seem to be a fit
mending at the broken edges
