Journey of the Ferryman

by Azrael   Oct 31, 2011

As the last grain of sand falls
it makes a thundering sound
out to the ferryman it calls
as they lay your body in the ground

Now it is time for your soul to take a ride
have your money ready and in your hand
for the ferryman to carry your soul across the tide
but it may not be to the promised land

No time for crying
it is too late
others are dying
you have sealed your fate

No reason to look back
no ones there on the shore
your soul starts to turn black
and you are gone forevermore

As the oars stir the waters deep
carrying your soul to the other side
no time to cry no time to weep
for on the other shore your soul will abide

Good work. This is a pretty solid peice. Clearly worded but could use some work on its overall flow.
