The Darkness cometh

by Lee   Oct 31, 2011

The Creatures came one fateful night,
in the vale of Amon-hen.
Like wolves they we're, but on two legs,
and with the souls of men.

In towns they stalked, in darkness hid,
sleeping days 'hind coffin lid.
they hunted young the first time 'round,
and hid the bodies underground.

The fear spread around in flight,
in the vale of Amon-hen.
They hunted prey by blackest night,
and took the lives of men.

Immediately cajoling from the LOTR reference there - 'Amon Hen'. Wonderful piece of poetry here, and epic in every literal sense. I'm a rings fanatic, and therefore look forward in profound excitement to read more of your work. Great work.

    Mysterious and a bit scary.
The flow was awesome. Your word of choice as well. It also rhyme, I can't find anything wrong with it.

    Oh,
I have nothing to say, this was flawless, the flow was rock solid and the wording was awesome, you did a lovely job, I love the way you retold the first stanza at the end with a few change of words, a dark yet mysterious piece,
    so much potential, and talent

    love
