Fairy Tales

by aminath   Nov 1, 2011

"You"

Make me think

Of fairy tales

Of jeweled crowns

And golden gowns

Of mahogany twilights

And ebony nights

Of the rippling moon

In a crystal lagoon

And a twinkling star

In a silver spoon

Of dancing fairies

Wearing flower tiaras

And of Cinderella

waltzing with her prince

But of course

Every time

The clock strikes at midnight

I come back to myself

A simpleton

Away from fantasies

And dreams

Only tear drops, to remain

On a plastic screen

    THAT WAS INSPIRATIONAL!

I loved the atmosphere, the tone, the rhymes, the gentleness, the simple meaning, the raw emotions, the brief descriptions, everythinggg in this poem! I LOVED the silver spoon part, and that you titled this 'fairy tales' I need one! :)
Many, or....too many poems speak of the impossibility of fairytales and that they don't exist and I get nervous with such writes, haha, because even if temporarily I like to live in them...you just took my imagination to another world! that was soo lovely.

Let me nottt speak about the flow, because it was beyond description...and let me not speak about the perfect imagines, for they were far, far from perfection! LOL omg I'm truly inspired. hahaha.

Truly well-done, loved this piece soo much. ;)
