Foolish boy

by DirtRoadGirl   Nov 4, 2011

His hands are fisted,
eyes full of angry tears.
His smile is twisted,
and there's a ringing in his ears.

He hits the wall,
and hears the drywall crack.
Dust begins to fall,
as he pulls his fist back.

Anger and hurt,
go into each hit.
Blood smears his shirt,
as he wipes his hands on it.

"Foolish boy",
The words, they float.
Angry words,
They clog his throat.

"You let her go";
he sinks to the floor.
"She loves you so,";
he begins to sob.

"She gave you everything,
and fought so hard.
She'd give you anything,
but you payed her no regard"

His hands are fisted,
eyes full of painful tears.
His heart is twisted,
and theres a whisper in his ears.

"Foolish boy,
you lost her.
Now you miss her,
and she's finally let you go"
