Wish

I've wished upon a broken star
That someone would come from afar
To take me with their guiding hand
And to venture to another land
Reach for my heart to steal
To prove to all that true love is real
To sing a song of romantic melody
And pull me out of midst of reality
When I lost all hope of love being fair
I saw you with beauty standing there
From then I knew that you loved me too
I guess wishes really do come true

    Ya,as snowy said, short,simple yet powerful,meaningful..
    Kinda remind me of times wen i had wishd to bring someone who loves me more then anything ..hold my fears before me.

    Very sweet poem, short but very meaningful. Favorite line "I've wished upon a broken star.
    That someone would come from afar"
    The fact that the star is broken is powerful to me because it tells the reader something broken can offer hope.
