No more you

by Kate Hicks   Nov 9, 2011

No fanfares, no trumpets
No choirs of angels sang
No golden light from yonder star
No bells or cymbals rang

No poets verse to mark the day
No chimes to strike the hour
No goodbye words from friends or kin
No vase to hold a flower

No tears, no cries
No wishing we'd just...
No hanging on the past
No more sadness
No more pain
Just peace for you at last.

Sad but death reminds us of the essence of life-to be at peace

Sadly, no one does. Only time and love can heal and, happily, I have both. Thanks Keith. xxx

So sweet and yet so sad .

In times like these I wish I had words to say that would take all the pain away. Sadly I do not.
