    Sibs,

You forgot to mention that he banishes some of us to limbo where we roam endlessly in order to find some sort of worm hole and make our way back to the forgotten lands!

This poem of yours is another one of those pieces that you could read over and over again. I really enjoyed your play on words, the tone throughout and of course the way you made PnQ seem like an ancient civilisation.

For some reason I had imagery of King Arthur and the round table.. isn't that odd? Though of course Janis is no knight, more like a wizard but even then those actually make things re-appear once they disappear.

    Loved this!

    CHARLIE'S ANGELS! UNITE!

Brilliant Yaki! Charlie's angels, serving the mysterious Charlie (AKA our mysterious JANIS.....never seen full face in any episode of the Angel's!), comes out of the blue and then disappears until the end, leaving the Angel's to do his scut work!...Track down and fix (admonish) the PnQ criminals. So let us pick the Angel's here ....Ummm: this has me thinking.. think think! Here it is:

Farrah Fawcett: aka Sibyllene (just a different hair color)

Kate Jackson: Abby (never saw her face)

    Jaclyn Smith: Jane (maybe?)

David Doyle: Sir Larry (with respects)

Charlie (Charles Townsend): aka JANIS (big boss of PnQ)

Ummm. now it is beginning to make sense......why the rest of us get tracked down and beat by the Charlie's Angels.

Maybe we need a Charlie's angels forum started as a sequel to "Janis's rant". Any volunteers? So if you do not see my account tomorrow, you know what happened!

Hahaha... yes. Although I'm probably more of a Jaclyn Smith than a Farrah Fawcett, as far as 70's babes go.

ABED, see? I predicted the comment will crack you up and stir things.... with the Angels! Now the only thing they need to realize that in order to reach that elusive 100 mark, they need to go out and comment on others good works (outside their own), so people can reciprocate in kind (on this poem and other good works) and maybe the 100 will be reached by next week, to make Sibyllene and the creator JANIS happy. A great way to restart the social network, that PnQ was at one time (I believe), before it became a club network! No wonder I chose to stay out of the clubs. No offense to all the "clubbies" you are all great and some very gifted.

Yeah, I haven't commented on many poems for a long while. Well, I guess I've judged a few contests and things, so I suppose that counts, but I feel like my pure "reading/commenting" quota has been shot to Hades since I've become a mod.

Or members can comment on whatever we want...poems aren't going to routinely get 100 comments. Most the comments were

    Omg grate!!!!!! 10 from meeeeee!!!!!

    "Omg grate!!!!!! 10 from meeeeee!!!!!"

    Lol, 10/5? Nice! : D

Britt has a point, though. I shouldn't go comment on poems just because I'd be hoping that they would comment on mine in turn!

Well, when I alluded to "others good works" it does carry a meaning....does it not? Yes, also sometimes there may be simple comments by simpletons (perhaps like me), noted by Britt ^ , but they are still from someone's honest heart, however mundane they may seem. Even the dyslexic's, Asperger's and the autistic savants need encouragement in life, from those who are gifted. Mozart, Jane Austen, Bill Gates, Steve Job, Newton, Einstein, Edison, Lincoln, and many more in this world would not have become immortalized if they did not overcome their disabilities, by the encouragement of others.

But on a different note, I have to say that you moderators are to be commended for a lot of thankless, painful work, to keep the site popular, spam and predator free and that is enough, more than one can ask from mere volunteers. So I have to commend all of the Charlies Angels, and all the mods and behind the scene folks for the hard work that keeps this site going.

Controversies will come and go, but the important realization is that these are just obstacles in the path of a greater good.

Cheers for Charlie's Angels, all mods and perhaps JANIS, if he can make everyone happy by cleaning the glitches up. :)

I think a few years ago, the one liners you got, were just that - one liners. Nothing of substance, and they expected you to comment back on their work. Meaningless praise is what it was, really.

I'm not saying people don't need encouragement. But one shouldn't go comment on others work in expectation of getting a comment back. You should comment on a poem when you have something to say, whether it be praise, critique, or both.. no?
