Two Little Objects

by Brittany Klein   Nov 13, 2011

There are two little objects
That have been there for life
They both helped me through
The happy times and the strife.

One object is thin
The other not so light
A paper and a pen
Both moments of my delight.

They are the only two friends
That allows me to be me
Expressing my thoughts
So delicately and freely.

There are no set guidelines
There are no set rules
They allow me to freely write
Like a poor man in the midst of jewels.

One flick of the wrist
Makes a story on the sheet
And these two little objects
Make my heart and soul complete.

This is a very great poem hun. I love how you make it so relatable. We all love to write and the details are great. I like how you make it vague at first. You don't know what the two objects are at first making the reader's mind run wild. Then in the middle you spring on us the way you write. You want to write your feelings out and you did. I love how you say that writing really completes you. It really does though. Because you get all your feelings out and as poet's that is all we need. You have written a great poem here. 5/5

Your rhyme and flow was easy and smooth. Nothing forced or exaggerated. It has a clear message for all of us that know this romance with pen and paper, it's like no other, it doesn't cheat, or fade away, it's forever in our spirit and heart.
