My talk with God

I had a talk with God tonight,

Really the first time I've ever opened up to him,

I asked him to watch over my family and friends,

I asked him to be with my loved ones when I'm not,

I asked him to cure my dear friend's fathers headaches,

I asked him to give my girlfriend's heart strength,

I asked him to come through me so I can give blessings to my loved ones,

But then I asked him why he does he make life so hard,

Why does he give us incurable diseases?

Why did he give my woman a week heart?

Why does he allow these plagues to go on?

At first I did not hear an answer from him,

But then he told me,

This is the way that he has chosen to make human-life,
He could have made it different if he wanted to but this is how it is,

Live for today and live for your loved ones,

Do not worry because I will give you the strength to preserver through any problem,

Just keep believing in me and I will take care of everything,

God knows that I am a christian but I do not read the bible like I should and sometimes my faith leaves me when I am in dire need,

I know he's read my poems,

He has read them before I even wrote them out,

But through all that I have been through he has always been there,

He could have left me dead and sent me on a first-class trip to hell but he did not,

He could have let the enemy destroy me but he did not,

He could have not even answered back but he spoke,

I know that he will be there for me and my family,

I never been so happy after my talk with him,

I just have to believe and know that he works in mysterious ways,

Because if God is with us then who could ever stop us and if God is for us then no one can ever stand against us.
