I liked the poem and I felt it really went with the picture.

My favorite parts of the poem were:

    "In my sleep I weave
    braids of silk
    with fingertips bitten
    by scattered pink dabs
    of strawberry fields
    and playground sands

    and time becomes a tale
    that freezes
    between half-open intervals
    of giggles and moonlight.
    A space, where I find
    myself visiting nightly
    plucking green earth
    with broken finger nails
    and a dirty brow"

You have a really good poem here

I wanted to cry when I read this. Your poems always do that to me Lu. I am always excited to see a new piece from you.

These lines did it for me...

    I wish,
    life could be
    rewound to a time
    when Barbie's dress
    was an oak leaf -
    tied with a twig

How I wish I couls go back to these days too. Very well done and enjoyed.

    Lu:)

I added this poem to my favs, something I haven't done in ages.

This poem hits you in the gut really hard when you are capable of truly understanding the deeper layers.

I often wonder if the heart hardens all by itself or as a result of fearing the others already have.

    A time when tears
    dried quickly and
    friendships were mended
    by noon.

    ^^^
We lose our innocense and with it, our ability to let others stay in our hearts as they are.

Sad, true, real, all things that make you ponder upon the real meaning of life.

    Well done:)

    My dear lu,
    you sometimes take ages
    to post poems again,

but then you do,and its alll....

    "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh"

    mama,
you have a heart so big..and I don't believe you have a clue of how amazing you are.

    I love nostalgic poetry,
this has so much melancholy and sadness
in it,yet it was clever..and mesmerizing...
I know you are always saying how much your friends mean to you,and this poem truly reflects that,
it also reflects all the ache that comes along with time as life..passes by...

I'm in awe by this write...
I was really fond to the "friendships mend by noon" phrase...

this is so heartfelt, and I'm out of words really
I just keep reading over and over again...

I love it I love it I love love love it!

I think that's very emotional. I really like the description: 'time becomes a tale...'

^ It's like you summed up the relativity theorem.

I'm in awe right now. AMAZING.

For once in my life I am speechless. This is possibly the best poem I have ever read. It's captivating, emotional and brilliantly put together. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed it so I will leave it as said. Masterpiece

This makes me miss my childhood, Lu. So emotional and captivating as always is your poetry. One thing I absolutely love is it talks of moonlight - wouldn't be a poem by you if it didn't include the moonlight :)

This is very heartfelt and touching. Readers are able to see what a caring, deep, and strong woman you are, just by reading this poem.

    Well done.
