Within the void

Your down in the dumps
stuck in the slumps
your life's going nowhere
you feel your doing
nothing right

You try to fill the void
but you cower away
and hide
all you do is cry

No not cower away
and hide
but rather
your stuck in a hole
trying to get a hold

Your not fully gone
just trying not to lose
control

Trying to fill the void
deep down in your soul
this makes you weak
as you cry your self to sleep

Perhaps
the damage done
cannot be repaired

Perhaps
there is no cure

The heart desires
but is not there

It has not healed
it's cracked down
the middle

This feels like
I've dwelled too long
I must move on

For I know what waits
along this path
my dreams will last
and heaven in thee end

But now
with nothing
I'll find hope
with something

And everything
is not yet lost
