A Seagull's Rocket Trip Home

by OrangeJuicePerez   Nov 15, 2011

Wrote it on paper
Before I started getting ready
Knowing's been safer
More has discarded plenty
Wrote it on paper
After I ended a night's sleep
Floated on safer
Laughter is splendid for time leaps
Stretched my wings and sailed into the day
One that must set itself from the rest
Left cries, weeps, and wails in outer space
Love land does: a red and blue rocket ship
Wrote it off until later
After day ended my sleep melody
Floated on like Interstate 8 or
A dapper phrase: "when them trees drop leaves your feet collect their memories"
I definitely know it's merely music by my long last line
But it's also a tattooed life preserver ring of freedom for me
The remedy holds and sincerely soothes sighs; so long bad flight
This seagull's rocket soul flew home like a mouse to its modesty
