The Meaning of Love

Everyone longs for love
Yet hardly anyone can tell me what it is or what it means

We are all wishing for
something we don't understand
something that's said but hardly meant

It's sought out
mistaken for other things
and rarely found.

Is love another word for faith, compassion, or trust?
Is love supposed to last forever or is love just a fleeting moment in time?
