The broken girl

by Miss Lonely Teacher   Nov 18, 2011

She's sitting in the dark again
staring at the wall.
the music echoes hollowly
reflecting her bleak fall.
no tears will wet her face tonight
she's cried them all before.
she wishes for a reason to live
and a way she can be more.
a light shines through her windows
and illuminates her hands.
she's shaking uncontrollably
her legs won't let her stand.
no one hears her screaming
as she's begging them to come.
she needs someone to pull her back
as her body's going numb.
she knows inside this is her last night.
she's fully ready to give up the fight.
