If Only You'd Have Listened...

by xoxShorteexox   Nov 21, 2011

Would you listen to me if I sang it out for you,
with tear filled eyes and murderous high pitches?
How about if I yelled it in a monotone voice,
straight in your face while looking you in the eyes?

Would you listen to me if I sliced it into my arm,
with crimson loops and bloody cursive lines?
How about if I wrote it on the city's skyline,
by rearranging the clouds into my words?

Would you listen to me if I wrote it in blood,
from the wounds that you left on my body?
How about if I used my last breath to tell you,
by whispering it into your ear so calmly?

If you would have listened to me from the start,
I wouldn't be lying dead on this pale tile floor.
Will you listen to me now; will you read all of it,
all the words I thought, but you never let me say?

-A strong ending :). Saying will you listen to me now that i'm no longer here.

I love this. Wanting, needing him to reach out, & him never till its way to late. Perfect emotion :)
