Singing quietly to myself
Sitting in my own personal hell
A world without life or love
Pulsating lights swirl around my face
While music plays loudly someplace
Wishing to be home
Warm and safe in your arms
Listening to the sound of your breathing
Seeing fireworks behind my eyes
Telling you I love you
and Hearing you say I love you too
Life flashing by
Before my very eyes
Making the world just right
The ocean singing us to sleep
On a warm night on a beach
Kissing you under an arch of steal
Camping beneath a starry prairie sky
Listening to the buffalo bellow
Waking with your hand in mine
Seeing you walk up the driveway
While little shoes clatter out to meet you
Watching high school football
and Cheering our hearts out
Flying across the country to listen to the band
Waking up once again
To your smiling face
And your arms wrap around me for a warm embrace
Your unique smell intoxicates me
While your face is all I see
Rocking on a porch
Squeaking and Creaking
A dog named Scooter sits at your feet
Suddenly, to pain and darkness I wake
And I find myself amongst
The Pulsating lights and
Loud Music
Crying quietly to myself
Praying that you are happy
The Darkness closes in
Making me never to see again
