Love Mountain

Climbing this love mountain,
we have reached the very top.
Although there were times,
when I honestly wanted to stop.

I wasn't sure if we were going to make it;
I thought we would chose to walk away,
but we stuck by each other's side,
letting our love lead the way.

I'm completely amazed by your complexion;
from your cheek bones to your chin.
I love everything about your outward appearance
but even more, I love what is within.

We have been through so much together,
holding hands through all of the journey.
Even when the thunder tried to break us,
we held onto each other so tightly.

I knew the moment that I first saw you,
that I would be with you for the rest of my life,
all of my dreams were to be fulfilled with you
and you were everything I dreamt about in my wife.

Your look so beautiful the moment you wake up,
I love being in front of you when you open your eyes,
so I can stare at you and tell you that I love you
and listen as your heart fills with butterflies.

Every day, for the rest of my life,
I will always write you a little letter,
telling you how much I love you
and I'll be here, no matter the weather.

I smile, as I look around,
I'm so completely in love.
As I walk closer to the edge,
I feel two hands in my back, giving me a shove...

    I like the rhyming so much, it is really amazing..
    But I believe that having more rhyme in this paragraph will make it outstand more!

    I was thinking of something like:
    We have been through so much together,
    holding hands through all of the journey,
    (and so they will forever"
    Even when the thunder tried to break us,
    we held onto each other so tightly
    (and this is a proof that
    no one, nothing can ever separate us"

    With your words; you took me to an amazing lovely place. The way you described every feeling you had, every gesture you made was just fantastic. The whole time I am thinking I so want to be loved in this way, that offcourse before I got to the end.
    WOW!! What a twist Matt, but yes I got the message you wanted to deliever to the reader.

    I loooove this poem!!! It was so sweet and romantic..... until the end!! yes it was unexpected twist, but I just didn't think the poem needed it. It was sad! Cause the whole poem was so sweet, and I envisioned the sweetest moments between two people who love each other!

    But still amazing - and you created beautiful imagery!
