Feast Dance

by Larry Chamberlin   Nov 25, 2011

Christmas music gives
Thanksgiving soundtrack
to a chef-play repeated
every year and to come.

Waltzing dinner alone
before anyone else arrives -
unabashed two-stepping
with food in both arms.

Now the dance resumes,
turkey stuffed, taters "nuked,"
Ronnets in the sleigh ride
and bread soaked in seasoning.

Bread pudding, pinwheel rolls
next to set up after a sip of wine;
Frank & Dean, John & Yoko,
Thanks be given for cook's cavort.
